FUN day.

Monday was horrid for a bit due to class. No worries, life goes on. But Tuesday made up for it. Because.....

pause.

Julie and I met this WONDERFUL girl, Rachel, (from Boston. All hail Boston.) She is a LOT like us and very like minded in many ways. She doesn't go out and party all the time for one. FINALLY found another one of us. ( Do you know how much alcohol costs here??) We'd rather shop for ourselves and friends than spend money on (expensive!) drinks and spend evenings with CRAZY drunks. I would know they are crazy due to very interesting late night rides on the tube. ewwwwww. Anyway, she's cool.

unpause.

Rachel and I have tuesdays off, so we have deemed Tuesdays "FUN day". And to start off fun day, we traveled to the financial district and studied architecture. (ok so we do a little homework on fun day. no biggie.) Then it got really fun. We found TK Maxx (Yes, that is our TJ Maxx) and other decently priced stores and bought stuff!!! This was my first actual shopping trip. I finally was able to shop fo MYSELF. (on something other than groceries).
I found incredible black "pirate" boots, gray skinnies, chocolate snake skin heels, and a s'marvelous blazer. WOOOO!!

Lloyds of London
more Lloyds

This building is my favorite! I don't know what it is though

The "Egg" aka Mayor of London building

This is our I'm-so-excited faces!

More Egg

Lloyds. This makes me think of Charlie Chaplin's "Metropolis".
I AM??!
Strutting TK Maxx's leopard print hats. oh yeah.

Then the day got even better because Julie and I went to see Then Phantom of the Opera. It was exquisite!!!!!! I can't wait to see it again sometime. They were very strict about "NO pictures!" but I grapped a couple. : )

Here's my Grace Kelly dress!! Thanks mom! I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

The beautiful theater
This is the auction scene. That's the gorgeous chandelier under the white sheets!
Met another AIU fashion student, Sara. We both gasped through the entire production. Magical it was!
Raising the chandelier. That was my favorite part
Here's a closer look at the dress!
FUN day was such a success. I can't wait for MORE!

Here be meh skinnies and pirate boots. The buckles jingle a bit when  I walk. More like strut :)
I LOVE FUN day. My hat's off to it. Speaking of that, Julie and I have to find superb hats for when we go hear Marie Antoinette speak! Yes, unbeknownst to most, she still lives and goes on speaking tours. And still dresses in fashion from her day and tells people what it was like living during that time. Or maybe it's a really good look-alike..Not sure.

Have a splendid week!!!
